The Hideout (Chicago, IL)
W/ Two Cow Garage
We're happy to play the Chicago opening of a documentary on our good friends Two Cow Garage. The feature length documentary follows the band from the recording of their second album in Denton, Texas in March 2004 to their South By Southwest showcase a year later in Austin. Incorporating interviews, studio footage, live performances, touring life and day jobdues, "The Long Way Around" presents the reality of the "rock and roll" life as it is for most bands...long drives, bad food, loud guitars, small audiences... lots of smokes, the hope of breaking even, the frustration of breaking down... doubt, passion, sleep deprivation and the love of and belief in music that makes it all worthwhile.
The documentary was shot on digital video, and directed & edited by John Boston. It is officially entitled "The Long Way Around: One Badass Year With Two Cow Garage."
